santa cruz nature and heritage

The Santa Cruz County Nature and Heritage Festival is part of Santa Cruz Nature and Heritage, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Santa Cruz Nature and Heritage also sponsors the Santa Cruz County International Film Festival, an annual event that recognizes and celebrates films that were made in the area or otherwise depict life in Southern Arizona, on the border or in our neighboring state of Sonora, Mexico. Visit the Film Festival website.

A board of directors guides both organizations, which are staffed by unpaid volunteers from the community who are passionate about sharing with the world the unique history, culture, natural beauty and people of Nogales, Santa Cruz County and Sonora, Mexico.

As the festival is relatively new, our current focus is to provide an enriching experience to our participants while promoting Nogales, Santa Cruz County and the local region, and to make ends meet.

As the festival progresses and grows every year, we hope to be able to provide assistance to other activities and events presented by organizations and individuals involved with the preservation of the history and natural environment of this unique and very special place.
