Santa Cruz Nature and Heritage sponsors two annual festivals in Santa Cruz County, Arizona with events and activities in our neighbor to the south, Sonora, Mexico.
The Santa Cruz Nature & Heritage Festival is held every year in April or May. It is oriented toward the fabulous outdoor activities that participants can enjoy in our wonderful springtime weather, like birding, nature hikes and a variety of interesting and informative classes and tours. The Santa Cruz County International Film Festival is a celebration of filmmaking in Southern Arizona, Northern Sonora, Mexico and the international border that they share. It takes place every October in the cross-border sister cities of Nogales, Arizona and Nogales, Sonora, Mexico.
